Enjoy a Spring honeymoon at Treedom Villas on the Garden Route
The South African spring season runs from 1 September to 30 November. Spring is a beautiful time to get married in South Africa, as flowers are blooming, fresh grasses are growing and wildlife is abundant. Spring is just before the summer wedding rush, so you will probably get fantastic pre-season deals on honeymoon destinations.
In Spring, you will enjoy pleasant average temperatures that fall between 23 and 28C. September and October are also dry months, so if you’re not a big fan of rain or excessive heat then this time of year is perfect for you.
Enjoy a Summer honeymoon at Treedom Villas on the Garden Route
Summer runs from 1 December to the end of February. If you love the hot weather, then Summer is your honeymoon season of choice with long, lazy days full of bright sunshine and daily temperatures between 24 and 30°C.
The summer months fall over the holiday period in December, so your guests are already in party mode! You need to make sure you book your honeymoon early, as Summer is a prime time for destination weddings with International couples taking advantage of our glorious weather.
Enjoy an Autumn honeymoon at Treedom Villas on the Garden Route
The Autumn season runs from 1 March to 31 May. The Easter period falls over this period, so the Autumn season is extremely popular due to all the public holidays. The weather is cooler than the hot months of Summer with temperatures between 20 and 25°C, but you can still have gloriously hot days where the temperature rises to 30 °C during the day.
March is the most wet month and should be avoided if you are not a big fan of rain. The magic of autumn are the colours which cover the forest - earthly hues of yellows, oranges, and reds. And at night when the temperature drops between 10 and 15°C, you can enjoy a romantic evening curled up in front of the fireplace with a glass of red wine.
Enjoy a Winter honeymoon at Treedom on the Garden Route
The Winter season is from 1 June to 31 August. July is the coldest month on the year (and the driest) with an average maximum temperature of 18°C. The days may be bright and warm, but it gets cold in the evening with temperatures dropping to 5°C.
Winter brings with it a different kind of romance all on its own! It is much easier to secure your ideal date in winter as venues are mostly available, and it is low season at most honeymoon destinations.
